With 40 years of bank accounting and auditing experience, John White epitomizes the bank risk management expertise of ICS Consulting Partners. John founded the business in the early 1990’s, with a mission to provide outsourced internal audit, regulatory compliance, and credit risk management services to the financial services industry. He has a proven history of founding successful businesses in this sector.
Among his other work experience, John has served as an audit partner with one of the Big Four. In this capacity, he led the financial services practice for the organization’s regional office and served as a member of the executive management team. John possesses a broad range of general practice experience that he draws upon to ensure ICS Consulting Partners at the forefront of internal audit and credit risk management issues. This experience includes troubled bank restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and bank regulatory sanctions.
Some of his specific project experience includes interim executive management positions, internal control evaluations, assisting banks to respond to bank regulatory orders, Bank Secrecy Act investigations, and bank strategic planning.

John Palmer brings more than 30 years of progressive professional experience in the financial services industry in the United States and internationally.
Prior to joining ICS Consulting Partners John served for four years as SVP/Risk Manager for a $5 billion publicly traded banking institution. Additionally, John supervised the internal compliance monitoring function for the bank.
Preceding his role as a Risk Manager, John was employed with one of the Big Four for more than 15 years. There, he progressed from a management role in the external audit practice to a Director in the office of the General Counsel in New York, where he provided accounting and auditing advice to in-house and outside counsel.

Chief Financial Officer
Henry (Hank) Applegate has been providing accounting and auditing expertise to the financial services industry for more than 35 years. As the CFO for ICS Risk Advisors since 2007, Hank has been a major contributor to the growth of the company.
Previous to ICS Risk Advisors, Hank served as the COO and CFO at Accume Partners, a $40 million, 300-employee risk management company specializing in internal auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and testing, bank regulatory compliance, and loan review services.
Hank has also contributed in a financial role with a Big Four firm and with NYSE-listed public hospitality companies. His past responsibilities have included corporate and SEC accounting, information technology, risk management, and general manager responsibilities for operations, marketing, and administration.

With more than 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Chris brings extensive financial reporting, auditing and risk management expertise to ICS and its clients. He has been involved in all aspects of internal audit as well as advising Audit Committees and Boards of Directors in connection with their responsibility for risk-based audit programs.
Among his work experience, Chris has served as Chief Accounting Officer for a $10 billion Bank Holding Company, Audit Partner In Charge of Quality Control for an International Accounting Firm, and Managing Director and Principal for an Internal Audit Company where he was responsible for managing outsourced internal audit engagements for hundreds of financial institutions ranging in size from $200 million to over $5 billion.

Nani brings more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining ICS Consulting Partners she was an SVP with the foreign branch of a a $980 million international bank in New York. There she held a number of positions with progressive responsibility, including Finance, Training, and Human Resources.
Earlier in her career, she held a position as Senior Vice President and Regional Administrative Manager at a $3 billion international bank with responsibilities primarily in Human Resources strategy/planning and HR Administration. Additional responsibilities included Training, Audit, Accounting, Compliance policies and procedures, and examination coordination.
Nani holds a B.A. in political science from Wilson College in Mumbai, India. Additionally, she has earned certificates in Financial Manager of Banking from the Wharton School and in computer information systems from Pace University
For more than 20 years, Dean H. Woodson has committed his professional career to all things audit. He has extensive expertise in compliance and internal auditing and accounting and has lectured on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) issues. Dean is a licensed real estate broker and has published articles and has developed numerous training courses related to real estate management. He was also appointed by the Governor of Florida to the Selective Service Board.
Prior to joining ICS, Dean served as Audit Senior Manager, Audit Director, and Audit Manager for both a national internal audit firm and start-up advisory, where he was responsible for developing/performing risk assessments and annual audit plans and testing internal controls for financial reporting, operational processes, and FDICIA/SOX compliance for financial institutions and real estate developers. He also spent a few years with a national CPA firm as In-charge Auditor, where he provided audit services, operational recommendations, and special project assistance.

Credit Risk Director
David has more than than 26 years of experience as CFO, consultant and commercial banker. David’s banking career includes extensive experience in credit policy, loan review, asset based lending and loan workout/asset recovery. At ICS, David has managed loan review engagements for the U.S. branches of foreign banks, commercial, savings and community banks. He has also assisted clients in reviews and revisions of credit policies and procedures, credit risk rating and ALLL methodologies, and reorganization of lending and credit functions.
Prior to joining ICS, David was the founder of a financial advisory services company specializing in the preparation, negotiation and implementation of formal and informal business plans for rapidly growing and distressed companies. Prior to that he served as CFO for a national third party consumer collection agency servicing major issuing banks and debt purchasing companies. Following 13 years of commercial banking experience, David joined the reorganization and restructuring practices group of a big four accounting firm, and later a large, regional accounting firm.
